‘Strung’ is Andrew Mortensen’s debut as a sole composer, under his own name.
It contains compositions for string quartet and sampler.

With compositions dating back as far as 1995, ‘Strung’ sees Mortensen take influences from Bartók, Feldman, Crumb and Zorn, as well as 'sampler composers' David Shea and Otomo Yoshihide.
The material is twisted and dark, violent yet beautiful.

This 2020 re-issue (original tape released in 1998), sees the compositions all completely re-recorded, as well as the addition of other creations over the years.
